Park Life
Childrens' Activities
The kids get things started at 11am with a fancy dress parade starting from Bermondsey Square and leading up to Tanner Street Park.
In addition to our usual coordinated childrens activities, this year, for the first time, we have some very special guests in residency from the fabulous Surrey Quays Farm.
Needing no introduction, Donna Maria returns with her troop. The dancing starts around the maypole at 11.30am. Then watch out for Mrs Lady (aka Natali Castro) who after all the excitement desires nothing more than a rest in her Hammock.
Fashion Show
Cutting edge fashion takes over in the park from 1pm to 2pm. Check next seasons trends before they happen. For an exclusive preview into this season's hottest looks, this year's fashion show is not to be missed. With over 15 different designers including; the urban style of Cockfighter, the bespoke beauty of Susie Stone, the vintage glamour of Bermondsey Fayre and hot looks from our local legend Zandra Rhodes.
Dog Show
The ever popular dog show continues the fun in the park from 2.30pm to 4.30pm. Registration is from 11.30am in the park.
It's on a first come, first serve basis and costs £3 to enter with all the money going to the Cavalier Matters Charity. Just ask in the Holli and Lil shop on Bermondsey Street for further info ([email protected] or 0203 287 3024).
Tug of War
The, uhum 'Pug of war' is sure to become a new festival favourite. Rounding off the fun in the park from 4.40pm till close, the tug of war is a clash between local drinking establishments.
